KLM must have run the longest-ever test of what, when, and how to launch its paid buy-on-board options, and it has already trialed various concepts on multiple routes.
The concept has now gone live on some routes, and the buy-on-board and pre-order are available on SELECT flights from October 25, 2026. As we noted earlier, KLM has divided its short-haul network into five bands with four different service levels.
