Close to 30 people turned out for a butter-making workshop as part of Earth Week events at Ecole Itlo on April 23.
Food Rescue Yellowknife demonstrated how products reaching their best-before date or even slightly after can be transformed into usable goods, thereby preventing waste.
The workshop participants made muffins so they could sample their freshly-churned butter on fresh baked goods.
