The recent sunny weather across the Eastern Fraser Valley and Interior has not been accompanied by warm temperatures, especially in one B.C. town.
On Friday, April 24, Merritt was the coldest place in the province as temperatures dropped to -7.2 C. This broke a 102-year-old record, as the previous April 24 low in Merritt was -5.6 C, occurring in 1924.
