A small jolt Wednesday morning (April 22) may have left some Metchosin residents scratching their heads about what they had just experienced.
Large truck rumbling by? Construction noise?
Neither, it was a small earthquake.
According to United States Geological Survey (USGS), a 2.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 7.33 a.m.
Located 11 kilometres south of Metchosin in the Juan de Fuca Strait, the quake measured 38.3 kilometers deep.
So far, only one person has registered with USGS to say that
