With a 6-2 home win, the Nanaimo Clippers are on the verge of a sweep and advancing to the third round of the B.C. Hockey League playoffs.
The Clippers earned 3-2 and 5-3 road wins in their best-of-seven second-round playoff series against the Cowichan Valley Capitals and are up 3-0, after the win at Frank Crane Arena Tuesday, April 21.
Hayden Fechner opened the scoring for the Clippers in the first round with Charles Béland also putting one past Caps’ goalie Rhett Stoesser.
