The federal government announced it is funding four projects in Nunavut with $13 million.
Sedna ROV will get $4.5 million for a self-driving vehicle used to conduct environmental and military surveys of the Arctic, along with supporting equipment.
“There’s still a lot of land to map out,” said Rebecca Chartrand, minister of Northern and Arctic Affairs, who provided the details of the funding at the Nunavut Legislative Assembly in Iqaluit on April 22.
