The French economy has taken a hit from the unrest – with sharp falls on the Paris stock exchange in bond prices, shares and even the euro – which was down 0.3% against the dollar, sterling and yen.
It could all affect France’s credit rating – putting more pressure on bonds. Our economics correspondent Helia Ebrahimi has the latest.
