While the crime thriller genre offers up plenty of opportunities for compelling television, it's hard to maintain quality for several seasons. Passionate speeches and surprising verdicts in courtrooms are exciting, and so are chase scenes and big reveals about villains. But even those moments can get old when you've seen 100 episodes and all your favorite characters have left the series.
