A 35-year-old patient died after a private ambulance caught fire and its oxygen cylinder reportedly exploded outside Udala Sub-Divisional Hospital in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, on October 8, 2026.



The deceased, Sujosh Barik, a resident of Kundabai, was being prepared for transfer to a hospital in Bhubaneswar for treatment of a severe blood infection when the incident occurred. Two people sustained burn injuries while attempting to rescue him. According to police, the ambulance driver opene
