Liz Truss this week declared an interest in running for office once more – but until that day comes she’s happily not short of a few quid thanks to her mayfly-like period as prime minister.
New figures show Truss has trousered £319,925 in ‘public duty allowance’ since her exit from Downing Street, the equivalent of £6,529 for each day she was in office.
