A Soweto family man who has played the National Lottery for many years has come forward to collect his R93.5 million prize after taking several days to check that he had in fact won the PowerBall jackpot.
The winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, became South Africa’s latest multi-millionaire after matching the winning numbers in the PowerBall draw on Friday, 21 August 2026.
He purchased the lucky ticket at Pronto Fruit and Vegetables in Molapo, Soweto.
