Despite slowed activity and no anticipated growth of the Bald Range wildfire, an area restriction order has been announced.
BC Wildfire Service has issued a notice that an area restriction order will come into effect at 12 p.m. on Aug. 29 for the wildfire west of Summerland, and will remain in place until Sept. 12 or the order is rescinded.
The restriction is to limit public interference with operations and maintain public and firefighter safety.
