Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro once again put Mexico at the forefront of international cycling after winning the 40th Deutschland Tour (Tour of Germany), one of the most prestigious stage races on the European calendar.
At 22 years old, this victory makes Del Toro the first Latin American cyclist to win the Tour of Germany, following his recent milestone of becoming the first Mexican cyclist in 36 years to win a stage of the Tour de France.
