Inuvik RCMP shift missing person search to ‘recovery operation’

Inuvik RCMP say they are continuing to search for missing Jovan Sandhu but have shifted their focus to a “recovery operation,” and are mobilizing an underwater recovery team.
Sandhu, 27, was last seen on Aug. 7, with police first putting out a request to the public to help find him on Aug. 10. In that initial call, RCMP said that Sandhu was last seen in Inuvik, possibly heading to Fort McPherson by boat.
However a subsequent Aug. 12 RCMP news release announced the shift in search foc
