Yellowknife teen hosted free drop-in sessions for the community to learn archery

Sophia Elder, a national-level archery athlete, recently organized free drop-in sessions with Archery NT to let local residents try their hand at the sport.
For two hours on Tuesdays and Sundays between July 7 and Aug. 4, Elder taught anyone ages six and up archery rules, commands, technique and safety at the Yellowknife Ski Club. The drop-ins were beginner-friendly with all equipment already provided.
