On Wednesday, Aug. 5, there are six major out-of-control wildfires in the Cariboo region.
Pear Lake fire
The Pear Lake wildfire continues to be the most significant wildfire in the Cariboo region.
On Wednesday morning, it is sized at 124,656 hectares, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS). On Tuesday, the fire grew by nearly 10,000 hectares.
