Fairbanks, Alaska, to host 2028 Arctic Winter Games after NWT pulled out

The Arctic Winter Games International Committee (AWGIC) has chosen Fairbanks, Alaska, to host the 2028 games.
They’ll fill in for the NWT, which was slated to host the 2028 games, the territorial government backed out in 2024. The NWT asked to be considered as host for the 2030 games at the same time they withdrew from 2028.
