PROGRESO, Mexico — Personnel from the Mexican Navy (SEMAR), operating through the Ninth Naval Zone, successfully located and reunited a missing young girl with her family at Yucalpetén Beach in Progreso, Yucatán.
The emergency unfolded during a routine patrol near the “Del Chocolate” pier as part of the “Summer 2026 Lifesaver Operation.” Distressed family members alerted naval personnel after losing sight of the minor along the crowded shoreline.
