MÉRIDA, Yucatán — A fatal case of heatstroke in Quintana Roo and a surviving case in Yucatán marked a deadly week of extreme temperatures across the Yucatán Peninsula, as Mexico experienced its worst week of heat-related illnesses so far this year.
