Police lay second-degree murder charge in Iglulik

A 39-year-old Iglulik man is facing a charge of second-degree murder, RCMP announced on April 24.
The previous morning, at approximately 5 a.m, police responded to a report that a dead man had been transported to the Iglulik health centre.
The RCMP arrived at the health centre and believed the death to be criminal in nature, a news release stated.
Police identified a suspect and placed him under arrest.
Leonard Qamaniq was subsequently charged with second-degree murder.
He was taken before a jus
