It looks like 2026 will be a banner year for broken cars in the province as the number of pothole complaints to Transports Québec is already in the hundreds.
For the first three months of the year, the province recorded 255 official complaints about potholes on roads and highways it manages, compared with 788 for all of 2025. The figures were released earlier this month by Transports Québec to Radio-Canada in accordance with an access-to-information request.
