Like many, my first dive into using local LLMs was with LM Studio. It seemed to be the best option for starting out, with one program to download that would serve as both a user interface and an LLM server. Like many beginner-friendly tools, it began to break down when I tried to use it for serious work, so I started looking for a replacement.
