The Springboks are edging ever close to their first match of the year, which will come in the form of a ‘warm up game’ against the Barbarians before heading into a jam-packed Test schedule.



It’s a strategy the Springboks also used last year to have a ‘friendly’ against the touring team to kick off their season, and similarly to 2025, Rassie Erasmus is expected to field some newcomers along with regulars who are in need of game time.
