South African road running legend, Bruce Fordyce, has penned a ‘farewell to the Two Oceans Marathon’ letter.
Fordyce, 70, will not be attending this weekend’s Two Oceans Marathon powered by BYD for the first time in over 40 years as a competitor or commentator.
Fordyce is best known for winning the Comrades Marathon a record nine times: 1981-1988 and 1990.
He is the former world record holder over 50 miles and the former world record holder over 100km.
