If you've lost count of how many ways you can play Resident Evil 2 on Switch 2, you are not alone.In addition to Monster Hunter, Capcom showed new details on an upcoming anniversary and is bringing a trio of modern remakes to Switch 2. Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4, which all received modern RE Engine remakes over the last several years, will all come to Switch 2 on February 16. Will kicking it old school make Mario Kart World more palatable to those who prefer worlds closed?Two of the best selling Switch 2 games received new information today. Mario Kart World's version 1.8 update is out now, and in addition to adding two more Knockout Tours a "Vs Race" option is available with ten courses based on courses from the original Super Mario Kart. The courses even use ? blocks that must be driven across on the ground in order to get items alongside the retro track designs.

A new mode called "Heroes' Vault" was shown which sees the party attempt to defeat enemies and build a meter which can be expended for new skills or allies. The latest in the 2D branch of the Metroid series sees Samus assailed by an unknown enemy. The reveal trailer showed her making use of a new ability to consume her enemies using powers presumably gained from the ending of Metroid Dread. The semi-main event for the Nintendo Direct was a twin reveal of the upcoming Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6 getting Switch 2 releases. It took 10 minutes into the first Direct after the Zelda one to get a Zelda announcement.The last game of the Calamitous 4 Zelda games is also getting a Switch 2 release. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will receive a Definitive Edition on February 25, with preorders opening today.
