Throughout your adventures in Crimson Desert, you will likely come across various Spires spread throughout the world. These are primarily part of the main story, so access to most of them is limited, but that doesn’t stop you from solving the puzzles to access them early.

There’s nothing like a good boss battle, and Crimson Desert certainly has quite a few to speak of. While there is a significant difficulty curve to some of the main story bosses, when it comes to optional fights, some of them can be more puzzles than they are full on mechanical-heavy endeavors.

Most of the time it will be drawing your sword on bandits or an aggressive faction, but sometimes you might just want to sit back and solve a puzzle or two.

Like any good open world game, Crimson Desert has the means of fast traveling. Getting around the vast world would be nearly impossible otherwise, as it spans hundreds of kilometers in each direction. It isn’t exactly the most convenient of methods as players will need to unlock specific spots to get around, but it’s better than the alternative.

Located on the far eastern continent, just south of the Red River and north of Beardtree Gorge, you will find a small settlement that, unfortunately, has been going through a bit of turbulence. Crimson Desert is filled with these investigation-type side quests, giving players the chance to help a group to figure out who has wronged them among a number of NPCs who were partially involved.

While Crimson Desert is about the world Pywel and the story of Kliff, this wouldn’t be the same game were it not for puzzles. This massive open world is filled to the brim with exploratory value, and with it are numerous puzzles spread throughout the land. Whether it’s simple ones such as rotating statues, or something a little more thought-provoking such as using mirrors to angle a beam a light around, there’s no shortage of ways to obtain Abyss items.

If there’s one thing players will need in their arsenal early on in Crimson Desert, it’s as many abilities as possible. The world of Pywel is massive, and because of this, there will be numerous little hidden items, weapons and even mounts spread out. Unfortunately, some of them are locked behind specific walls (literally), but so long as you have the right abilities, you can access them.

The world is lovely, peaceful and chill, but it could really use some robots to help keep it that way. The plateaus high above the cities are empty aside from grass, trees and a few basic delivery depots, which makes them the perfect place to start manufacturing the needed bots. Money makes the world go round, and that is most definitely the case in Crimson Desert. Whether it’s buying new gear or bribing your way out of jail, there’s nothing that money can’t buy you. With that said, obtaining a fortune isn’t exactly the easiest of tasks.
