What are Marriott points worth?
At Frequent Miler, we keep a database of point valuations called “Reasonable Redemption Values.” These are estimates of the “worth” of airline miles, hotel points, transferable points, and more. The idea is that we try to identify the point at which it is “reasonable” to get that much value or more from your points.
This information is critical for making informed decisions. In fact, it’s a key component of the First Year Value information shown on our Best Credit Card Offers page, and it’s simi

$700 richer: My easy UK261 claim experience with United Airlines
All of us on the Frequent Miler team met up in Colorado a few week ago to work on some new website functionality. None of us live in Colorado which meant we all had to fly in, with my journey being the longest seeing as I was coming from the UK.
Even if my journey wasn’t already due to be the longest, it certainly would’ve ended up that way as my flight was cancelled and I didn’t arrive until more than 24 hours later than originally planned.
The good thing is that due to the re

Eat out, earn more: Guide to card-linked dining programs for airlines, hotels & more
One of the ways to earn points, miles and/or cashback on your everyday spend is to link your payment card(s) to dining programs that offer rewards. When paying for meals at participating restaurants with one of those linked cards, you earn bonus rewards through that dining program. Once you’ve registered and linked your card(s), this is therefore an easy way to rack up rewards with no further thought being needed.
Many of these programs offer additional bonus rewards when first signing up

Greg’s top travel card, rumored changes coming to a favored card, a board game tour and more [Week in Review]
When my family decided to pursue JetBlue’s 25 for 25 challenge last year, it wasn’t entirely sensible. Sure, we’d earn a lot of points, but there was no way to know for sure whether we’d glean long-term value from 25 years of Mosaic 1 elite status. It was a gamble that I felt pretty good about, but the upside was really hard to quantify speculatively.
But this week, it really paid off for the first time since the completion of the challenge.
Yesterday, we flew as a party

United Airlines Cards: Increased offers of up to 100K miles
Yesterday, United made significant changes to its Mileage Plus program that drastically alter how its customers earn and redeem miles. Essentially, everything can be summed up by saying that the airline really, really wants its customers to have a United credit card. It’s making its program more rewarding for those who do and penalizing those who don’t. Fittingly, there are now improved welcome offers available on the Chase United Airlines Quest and Club cards.

United MileagePlus makes huge changes to earning and redeeming miles
There’s an oft-repeated joke in travel circles that goes something like this: “Want to know what United is planning for next year? Look at what Delta did last year.”

My American Express bonuses are posting with blazing speed
I’ve recently been in a position to spend toward some Amex bonuses, and one thing has really surprised me: Amex bonuses are posting with blazing speed. In our case, that has applied to both welcome bonuses and spending bonuses, both in terms of Membership Rewards points and co-branded bonuses.
