General Motors Co. is recalling more than 67,000 electric vehicles over a software glitch that can cause loss of braking at low speeds.
At issue is software that helps prevent slipping by tracking wheel movement. The software does not always correctly interpret wheel movement, which in some cases has caused the brakes to malfunction, according to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
