Silver Queen Cafe to close after 11 years due to rising operating costs

Silver Queen Cafe, located on Harford Road in Hamilton, will close on Nov. 25 because of rising operating costs, the owners wrote in a Facebook post Thursday.
Nicole Evanshaw and her husband, Jason Daniloski, opened the restaurant 11 years ago, but Evanshaw said in the past year, the expenses have pushed them to their breaking point.
“We’re looking at the numbers and the cost of running Silver Queen without the business that we need was just simply too high,” said Evanshaw.
