The Federal Government will pay workers a N70,000 monthly transport allowance for six months, beginning in November 2026, to cushion the effects of economic challenges.
This is contained in a resolution reached at the end of a conciliation meeting between the Federal Government and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Tuesday in Abuja.
The meeting was convened by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment to address workers’ welfare concerns, following the NLC’s demands for improved condition
