I agree with the authors in recent columns who say that the expensive conversion to liquefied natural gas (LNG) is not a viable clean energy solution (“Instead of LNG,pursue low-risk policies to make more homegrown electricity” and “Why liquefied natural gas is a threat to Hawaii’s environment and sustainability,” Star-Advertiser, Island Voices, Oct. 19).
