The Anne Arundel County Council unanimously approved two bills Monday that require developers to disclose campaign contributions and give the county’s ethics commission authority to fine people who violate ethics rules.
The disclosure bill requires developers with pending applications to report contributions to council members. It also bars those seeking zoning changes from making contributions during a comprehensive review of the county’s zoning map.
