While it seems like the focus in Nivalis Nights is always about running your businesses and less about your own personal pastimes, something that the game doesn't initially clue you in on is romance and how to form close bonds with Nivalis' locals. If you want to pursue more than professional relationships, the option is definitely there, though you have to kind of figure it out on your own.
