Re “Race for mayor in Chula Vista heats up” (Oct. 8): In candidate Francisco Tamayo’s Chula Vista Heroes Housing Plan, city-owned land would be used to build entry-level homes that teachers, police officers, firefighters and nurses can own. Those professions are among the top wage earners, especially nurses. They should definitely be honored but not housed. The low wage earners are the ones who need help with housing.
