Is Donald Trump trying to lose the election? Maybe. The Iran war, food and gas prices, the decimation of healthcare — this is a Democrat’s dream scenario. His rallies have been less about promoting Republican candidates, whom he often insults, and more about himself, even demanding pledges of loyalty. Having convinced his MAGA devotees of their victimization by liberal traitors, and blaming their misery on Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama, he has elevated himself as their great avenger.
