Jason Statham is one of the greatest action stars of all time and the modern-day heir apparent to the 1980s action-hero archetype established by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, and Sylvester Stallone. This was solidified in 2010 when Statham was cast opposite Stallone in The Expendables. In 2013, Statham starred in a film written by Stallone that was originally intended to be an entry in one of his most popular franchises.
