Home sales fell sharply across Colorado last month, with Douglas, Larimer, Denver and Adams counties ground zero for the biggest declines, according to a monthly update from the Colorado Association of Realtors.
Single-family or detached home sales fell 14.9% statewide from August 2025 to August 2026, while pending contracts, a marker of future activity, fell 10.8%. Declines were more pronounced in the Denver metro region, where sales fell 18.7% and pending contracts were down 12.9%.
