Hurricane Isaias made landfall as a Category 2 storm with 105 mph winds in the Florida Panhandle on Friday night, and there has been one confirmed fatality in the state, but it could have been a lot worse.
“The wind shear definitely weakened it as it came in and it also upset the structure,” said Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis late Friday. “It’s still a challenge and we’re going to deal with that challenge.”
