Yellowstone didn’t become one of TV’s most popular Westerns by accident. It has many great qualities, such as flawed-yet-likable characters, great cinematography, and a rich plot that leaves you looking forward to more. However, it doesn’t fully deliver on the action. The Paramount+ hit show has some violent episodes, such as the Season 3 finale, when John is shot and Beth’s office is bombed, but such moments are rare. Thankfully, there is a Western miniseries with better action out there.
