Hurricane Isaias intensified into a major Category 3 hurricane Friday morning with 120 mph winds and is forecast to make landfall tonight on the Florida panhandle, according to the National Hurricane Center.
As of a special NHC 8:20 a.m. ET advisory, the storm grew to Category 3 with 120 mph winds and higher gusts. It was located about 240 miles south of Pensacola, Florida and 170 miles south-southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River moving north-northeast at 15 mph.
