Fervo Energy announces commercial operation of first geothermal power plant in Cape Station, Utah

Fervo Energy (Fervo) has announced the start of commercial operations of the first geothermal power plant in its Cape Station site in Beaver County, Utah. This refers to the first GeoBlock of Phase 1 of Cape Station, with a net generating capacity of 33 MWe.
This update comes just six days after Fervo announced grid synchronization of the same power plant.
Cape Station’s Phase I comprises approximately 100 MW across three 33-megawatt GeoBlocks. Commissioning continues at the remaining two
