Pugnello
Dublin rock band deliver their most punishing record to date
Pugnello by Gilla Band
Have you ever heard a song for the first time and felt a shiver run so deep it took the floor with it? That, for me, is the first seconds of Pugnello, and it hardly relents from there. Dara Kiely comes in screaming on ‘The Angelus’, all scalded shriek, hollering about Bananas in Pyjamas and Gary Lineker as crisp maniac. The track pitches somewhere between Lightning Bolt and a ten-thousand-mile
