This is a place with two unique and magical places to see.
The first, the abandoned Hood River Pumping Station, is at the parking lot to the Hood River Pipeline Trail. It is a decommissioned hydroelectric facility that used to supply electricity to Hood River, Oregon from 1923 until 2006. It was shut down after a 2006 flood destroyed the dam upstream. The pumping station building is still open and is now a graffiti-covered ruin with smashed windows, broken glass everywhere, and a few openings
