When the South American man lay down in his bunk at night, he dreamed up ways to kill himself.
During his time locked up at the Aurora immigration detention facility, he said he witnessed violence and abuse, grew weak from hunger and was, eventually, brutally beaten by guards while handcuffed and suffering a panic attack.
The man, who spoke to The Denver Post on the condition of anonymity because he fears retaliation by the U.S. government, shared photos taken by his attorney from the encounter,
