United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby is trash talking Delta’s Pacific expansion, dismissing the markets it’s entering as “low yield and half empty” and saying it doesn’t have the right planes. United has the stronger Pacific network. But Delta doesn’t have to beat United across the ocean to make money on a new flight or make United earn less on theirs.
