Last night’s all but guaranteed so-so, athlete-hosted Saturday Night Live season premiere was always going to start with a Donald Trump cold open, and there’s nothing we can do about it. At least the ever-precise and funny-in-spite-of-things James Austin Johnson had some help kick-starting Season 52 in the form of Ramy‘s Ramy Youssef, as the pair comically attempted to explain the ongoing palling-around between Donald Trump and Zohran Mamdani.
