Man taken to hospital after shooting near Towson University

Towson University Police issued an emergency shelter-in-place order Sunday night as Baltimore County Police investigated a shooting near campus that sent a man to a hospital.
County police said officers responded to the 8000 block of York Road, where Cardiff Hall apartments are located across the street from campus. Police asked members of the university community to avoid the area.
The university told students, faculty and staff to remain sheltered in place until further notice.
