There’s an old adage that comedians are just broken people working through their trauma in public. In Lyndsey Duff’s case, it’s literally true.
Duff spent the first half of 2026 enduring 17 weeks of chemotherapy to treat her stage three breast cancer.
Her debut this month on stage at Ground Culture open mic night in Cape Town was the culmination of a promise she made to herself in the midst of treatment.
