StarCraft is back, this time as an open-world shooter. During the BlizzCon 2026 keynote today, a new open-world shooter was announced, aiming for a 2030 release and simply called: StarCraft.Dan Hay, previously a lead producer on the Far Cry series, to announce the new project and the team behind it. Hay said the crew plans to "re-ignite" the StarCraft universe, and brought a trailer to show exactly how. The trailer is delightfully dark, featuring a Marine named Holt training up for the Dominion
