2026 has already been a wonderful year for sci-fi, with the best of the bunch being the Phil Lord and Christopher Miller-directed masterpiece Project Hail Mary. Starring Ryan Goslingin one of his best roles yet, this expansive, detailed adaptation of the 2021 novel by Andy Weir earned an enormous $682 million worldwide during its box office run and earned rave reviews from critics, including Collider's Ross Bonaime, who dubbed it "the first great film of 2026" in his 9/10 review.
